Date Ideas for 2026
I love being out and about. There's also a part of me that loves to be cozy and melted into some strong arms. The best part is both can happen in our time together.
Whether you’re a local or visiting the city, here are some date ideas for 2026. Straight from me with no AI other than my dictation software, Wispr Flow, because my manicure makes me type slow.
Cuisine
I enjoy a full range of cuisines. Below you'll find a blend of refined to relaxed options. All of them tasty.
Quetzal
When I first went, it wasn't a Michelin-starred place. Coming in now at one star, it's a full sensory experience of Mexican cuisine, and it's dim, intimate, refined, and perfect for whispering dirty sweet nothings into each other's ears.
Bar Isabel
I come here for Spanish tapas and romantic energy. It's a perfect place to sit next to each other, as it can be lively. It reminds me of that one trip I took to Barcelona.
Bar Ardo
I like this place because the dishes are so shareable. There's nothing like sitting next to you with my hand in your lap while I take another bite of your dish that I said I didn't want. It's also fairly quiet during the weekdays and within walking distance to post-dinner gelato.
Restaurant 20 Victoria
The Chef's here used to have a restaurant in Yorkville called ‘Brothers.’ I swear it was the best restaurant I've ever been to in my life. They came back with 20 Victoria and brought great wine, attentive service, and thoughtfully crafted, tasty food.
Rhum Corner
This place is awesome. It's more relaxed, and it's Haitian food with a modern twist. Service is always so friendly, and the restaurant is really eclectic. You, me, denim jeans, and our curious palettes would do very well here.
Soos
This place on Ossington is probably one of my favorite restaurants on the strip. It's Malaysian and a bit rustic, with creative concoctions that linger. It's great for a summer time date where I can wear my favourite heels and smile with you on the patio. All in all, it's a great reminder of why Toronto is so great when the sun is out.
Lady Marmalade
After our all-nighter of fun, let’s head to globally inspired brunch with locally sourced ingredients to nourish and rejuvenate us.
Amber
A local favorite, Amber offers savory contemporary dishes, sweet and attentive service, and desserts that I can never say no to.
Cocktails
BarChef
We'll barely be able to see each other, but that means we could be a little naughty. This dimly-lit, mysterious and trouble-inducing bar is one of my favorites in the city. The cocktails are inventive and fun, the menu is extensive, and it's a great place to either start or begin the antics that we could get into.
Maha’s Cafe
For non-alcoholic options and tasty Egyptian bites, we can head over to this spot for indulgent coffees, teas and desserts. It’s an outpost of the famous ‘Maha’s’ without the long lines.
Relaxing In The City
We could spend two and a half hours here indulging in great teas, different therapies, and a shared massage. Located right downtown, we have so many options for food after. We both deserve some chill time.
A classic spa with many offerings for both of us. Let's get a shared massage, get into the pool, and sweat it out in the sauna.
Activities in Toronto
ROM After Dark & AGO
These two are great museums that have rotating exhibits. One thing about me is I love art and I love the stories that people tell through their creativity.
Raptors, Jays or Maple Leafs Game
I apologize in advance, but I do like to cheer. I also love the outfits that can come out of a sports game. Let's get some tickets. Share a popcorn and sit at the edge of our seats in anticipation.
Pickeball, Tennis or People Watch
If you like to be active, I love a game of tennis. I won't lie, I'm mostly in it for the outfits, but if you'd like a partner, we could play a bit. Pickleball is something I've never played, but I'm open to trying. People watching is a great sport as well. Let's create stories about strangers' lives and debate on how accurate we are.
Short Drives Out of Town
St. Anne's Spa
St. Anne's Spa, located within driving distance of Toronto, provide a serene setting for relaxation and sensory exploration. We can enjoy couples' massages, soak in hot tubs, and savour dining experiences together.
Weekend Escapes
Montreal
Let's head to the Scandinave spa and then go to Oncle Lee for inventive Chinese cuisine. We can stay at any one of the amazing Montreal boutique hotels and cozy up together all weekend.
Niagara on The Lake
You, me, bicycles, and a winery. Let's frolic through the vineyards and get a little bit tipsy. We'll forget half of the things we learned during the tour and remember all the mischievous glances we exchanged instead.
BC Getaways
Aika Spa, Squamish Valley, BC
Surrounded by nature's beauty, this tranquil spa provides a holistic wellness experience in therapeutic treatments, from massages to facials, all while taking in breathtaking mountain views.
Ninmo Bay, BC
Ninmo Bay Retreat, nestled in British Columbia's wilderness, offers exclusive eco-luxury. We can enjoy kayaking in fjords, swimming in remote streams, and comfortable rustic-chic accommodations.
